-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just as Espio got out of the Internet, he heard a loud noise, as if a group of people were cheering. He took a look around, and saw an opened door, leading to some sort of stadium. He turned invisible, and ran to the stadium. There, he saw Naoto Ohshima with the yellow Chaos Emerald in his hand, and a green hawk next to him.

"That's the Emerald! But...who is this bird?" Espio thought.

"And as a reward for being the hottest, the best, the most EXTREME racer of all time, I officially grant my most precious treasure, this Chaos Emerald, to...JET...THE HAWK!!!" Ohshima said. As he finished speaking, he took the Chaos Emerald out of his pocket, as Jet raised his fist to the air. Quickly, while being invisible, Espio moved right next to Jet. Ohshima was about to hand the Chaos Emerald to Jet. As soon as he streched his hand, Espio quickly jumped toward Ohshima's hand and stole the Emerald.

"What the?!" Jet said, seeing how the Emerald was floating in the air.

Just after that, Espio turned visible again.

"Wha...a thief!" Ohshima shouted.

"Hey there purple boy. You know, you have something that's mine. Now...HAND IT BACK!" Jet shouted.

"Hehe...not likely. I'm sorry, but I'm taking this Emerald. I'm sure I would use it better than you would" Espio said.

"What...you...give it BACK to me!" Jet shouted.

"Well... I'm off" Espio said, and started to run away.

"Oh no you're not!!" Jet shouted, put his goggles on, and followed Espio with his Board. Meanwhile, Ohshima was watching, calmed. He called a camera-man.

"Make sure to film this. Make sure to get the BEST angle. A live persecution featuring the hottest racer the planet has ever known, and some random unknown dude is gonna get me BILLIONS! These'll be the best ratings I've ever had! Now move it!" Ohshima said.

Jet kept following Espio. Jet got really close to Espio, and Espio turned invisible.

"Damn you!" Jet said. But he then noticed something...he could still see the Emerald. He used a Turbulence, and quickly got to the Emerald, and stole it from Espio's hand. He then got high in the air. Espio turned visible again.

"The Emerald's mine, slowpoke! Catcha...around!" Jet said with a mischief tone, and flew away.

"Son of a..." Espio said, but he got interrupted by a camera-man.

"Hey, hello my friend. Now tell us, Live TokyoV channel, what does it feel to have such a great treasure as the Chaos Emerald, and then lose it?" The man said...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, on the Ice Cap...

Espio knocked the door of what seemed to be a huge workshop. There, a well-known by everyone two-tailed fox, Tails, welcomed him.

"Espio! What are you doing here?" Tails asked.

"Tails, pal!...I need a favor" Espio said.

"Sure...what can I do for you?" Tails asked.

"I knew I could count on you, pal. I need you to let me borrow any of your...planes...or something that flies" Espio said.

"Um...since when do you know how to fly?" Tails asked.

"Ah, don't worry. I can handle it" Espio said.

"Okay, I suppose I can lend you the Tornado II. Because, well, I...won't...be...needing it anymore" Tails said, and a tear came out of his eye.

"Uh...are you okay, Tails?" Espio asked.

"No, I'm not okay. Ever since Sonic died, I couldn't keep living. I just feel like I'm also dead, and sometimes I even want to be dead, to be there...with him" Tails said, with a sad voice.

"Sonic died?! Heh, I missed a chapter, I guess" Espio said.

"Yeah, he did. A robot shot him, and since his gun was powered by the Master Emerald, it killed him. But I don't wanna talk about it...you can take the Tornado...just, be kind enough to get it back" Tails said.

"Of course I will. Thanks again, Tails" Espio said, and flew away with the Tornado.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jet was flying over a desert-like area with his Board.

"Let's see...according to this thing...the next Emerald is...on the inside of...a VOLCANO?! Man, why do these little thingies have to be on such dangerous places? Oh well, I still gotta get it. So, no time to lose, LET'S MOVE!" Jet said, and accelerated.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market. There, Omochao will welcome you.

"Hello, Jet, and welcome to the Black Market. I can see you have the Type-J Board equipped, and have nothing unequipped. You can acquire new Boards with your rings. Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Boards" Omochao says.

List:
Windy Dash - 200 rings.
Emerald Stomp - 350 rings.
Green Tornado - 450 rings.
Extreme Feather - 1000 rings.

If you have collected 200 or more rings during the previous stage(it had 200 rings)you will be able to buy the Windy Dash. If not, you'll have to collect more rings on this one, or go to the Stage Select mode to gather more. If you gathered 200 rings, you should buy the Windy Dash.

"You have selected the Windy Dash. Do you want to buy this Board?" Omochao says.

Accept, and Omochao will give the Board. Jet will equip it to his feet.

"You have just acquired the Windy Dash. Your current Board, the Type-J, is a standard Board that is rather good at every aspect, but isn't very good at any. The Windy Dash focuses on speed. It's one of the fastest Boards you can find! But, on the other hand, it isn't that good at steering, and it isn't very strong either. It will be useful to get ahead of other Boards, or to get through stuff that makes you go slower, such as strong winds. Remember, you can press the Z Button to scroll between your Boards anytime you want! That's all!" Omochao says.

Since there's not anything else you can buy, move on to the next stage...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 9: Tornado Twist(player: Jet)
Total number of rings: 200

This stage takes place on the skies over a huge desert, pretty much like the one from the Bonus Stages of this game's prequel. Remember Babylon's last cutscene on Sonic Riders, where Sonic and Jet fly over a desert at sunset? That's pretty much how the stage looks like, but the desert is more detailed, with pyramids and such.

This is Jet's first "real" stage, meaning it's not a race, but just a race where you have to get to the Goal Ring by flying over the gigantic desert with your Board. Even if the draw distance is huge, the path is pretty straight-forwarded, meaning there are "invisible walls" on a point. It's like a set path, where you can steer, boost, brake, jump, and perform tricks when you find ramps.

On this first section, there will be flying EggDrones shooting you and dashing at you, so avoid them by steering to the side or jumping over them. There will also be ramps for you to perform tricks. For this first section, you should use the Type-J, because it's better at steering than the Windy Dash, and you'll have to steer rather than be fast here.

Later on, the stage will get more difficult. Not only the ammount of EggDrones will increase, but you'll also face other obstacles. You will face strong winds that will take you far behind, or to the sides(you should try switching to the Windy Dash to make this part easier), you'll also get inside "wind tracks" where the path will get tigther, and you'll have to make a good use of your steering abbilities(Type-J is recommended) to get through this section.

On a certain part, Jet will get caugth on the inside of a huge Tornado. This is a pretty tough part of the stage, because since the Tornado spins so quickly, you'll not have a very accurate control of your movements. The stage looks exactly like oustisde the Tornado, but you see like a "spinning windy wall". There, you will have to be very concentrated, due to the fact that you'll not be able to control yourself accuaretly, as stated above, because you're inside a fast-spinning Torando. You'll have to avoid EggDrones inside it, and get through faster-than-the-others winds. After some time, you will be able to get out of the Tornado.

After the Tornado, there is a section with lots of ramps, for you to have fun performing tricks after the Tornado section. There will also be some enemies, but it shouldn't be tough to get through them.

After this section, you will reach the Goal Ring near the Volcano.

Jet says "Alright!", takes off his goggles, and stears his Board as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jet stopped his Board, and removed his goggles.

"Ah, that wasn't that tough! Now to get that Emerald!" Jet said.

"Not so fast, bird" A voice said from behind Jet. He turned around, and he saw a big blue plane, with Espio on it.

"You again?! Didn't I tell you to give up?" Jet said.

"Hmph, and you think I'll listen? Now, since you resist to surrender, let's fight for the Emerald" Espio said.

"Time to kick some Ninjitsued butt!" Jet said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boss: Espio w/Tornado II(player: Jet)

This battle takes place on a "rounded" part of the heights over the desert. Invisible walls determine the battle place's perimeter.

The Type-J is definetly the best Board to use for the whole battle, since you'll need to steer to avoid Espio's attacks, and, being fast will not be needed for this battle.

Espio will roam at you, fire machine guns, a big plasma laser(that will take some time to charge up), and a continuos laser beam. When he roams at you, steer to the side or jump over Jet. To avoid the machine guns, steer to the side until he stops firing. To avoid the plasma laser, you should get far away from him as he starts charging up, because if not you'll not be able to avoid it. And finally, to avoid the laser beam, steer to the side by using a Turbulence, because if not the laser will reach you.

Since Jet has no attacking techniques, you'll have to use any of Espio's attack against him. And that attack is the laser beam. When he fires the laser beam, steer to the side, and quickly speed toward Espio, and jump over him. Espio will follow you with the laser, unintentionally hitting himself, due to the fact that you're over him.

That's about it. Repeat this process until you deplete Espio's life gauge, and destroy the Tornado II.

Jet says "Victory is MINE!", takes off his goggles, and steers his Board as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since you destroyed the Tornado II, Espio will fall to the huge desert.

"You'll pay for this!" Espio shouted as he was falling to the desert.

"Yeah...whatever!...Bye-bye!" Jet said, and put on his goggles again.

"Now, let's head to that volcano!" He said, and headed toward the Volcano

Meanwhile, in an unknown location...

The camera was facing a place where there was no noise at all, a white place with nothing on it. It was like a white atmosphere, where walls, ceiling, and floor could not be distinguished. Suddenly, footsteps could be heard. They were fast foosteps, that were getting closer and closer. The camera started getting closer to the ground, as two familiar red and white shoes appeared on the screen. The camera started going up, and he face the familiar blue furry body of our favorite hedgehog: Sonic. He stopped running, and started to walk. The camera faced Sonic's back, as Sonic approached another Sonic, identical to him.

"Awesome, a mirror" Sonic said.

"This isn't a mirror, my friend" The other Sonic said. He had Sonic's same voice, but he talked very differently than Sonic.

"What the...?" Sonic said.

"Ahh, sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I am your dead self, Sonic" The other said.

"My what? Dead self? Where am I? Didn't I...die?" Sonic asked quickly.

"Pacience, Sonic. You are in the place where all of the dead bodies go when they die, yes. Indeed, your body IS dead. But your soul...is not" The other said.

"Whaddya mean? I'm dead...but my soul isn't?" Sonic asked, confused.

"Let me explain. When someone who is old dies, his or her soul dies aswell, meaning they go to Heaven, or to Hell, deppending on his or her heart's weight, directly. But someone who dies when him or her is young, his or her faith is different. That person's body died, because of the accident or illnes he had, but his soul is not, because it isn't old yet. You, Sonic, are very young, and died because of a very powerful weapon. So, your body is dead. But your soul isn't...not yet" The other said.

"Uh...ya, I think I got that. So...where am I supposed to go now, eh?" Sonic asked.

"You will now meet Osh, the God of the ones who died because of an accident. He'll decide your destiny, deppending on your heart's weight. So far, no one, I repeat, NO ONE, has overcome this God, so, all of them ended in Heaven, or in Hell. When you fail against his demands, I, your dead self, will take you to the place where you will rest in peace forever" The other said.

"And...what happens to the ones that, uh, do "overcome" his demands?" Sonic asked.

"You really don't need to know, since you'll not acomplish it" The other said.

"I asked you a question, dead-boy. So ANSWER!" Sonic demanded.

"Okay, okay. The ones who overcome Osh, will come back to life, because if you do so, it means your soul is still strong enough to recreate your body's Ka, therefore reviving your body. But no one has acomplished this, so don't get your hopes up" The other said.

"Okay, take me with this God" Sonic said, and both Sonics started to walk away.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, in Tokyo...

The camera was facing a gigantic building. Then, the camera started zooming slowly toward the building's inside, once inside, started scrolling through what looked like a Facility, and then, it stopped in the Control Room. There, two scientists where working on something. Suddenly, Espio emerged from under a table, and using Shurikens, he knocked out both scientists. The screen froze while Espio was in the air, and it did a quick zoom toward it's eye, which opened, showing the yellow, bright, deep pupil. With this, the screen changed to a black background, and this text was being written, in purple letters, and after it finished writing, Espio said what was written on the background, which was:

OPERATION: "VIRTUAL CORE"
OBJECTIVE: YELLOW CHAOS EMERALD

With this, the screen showed different pictures, and Espio was the narrator. Espio narrated the following, as different screens appeared:

This is Espio the Chameleon, excecuting operation "Virtual Core"(this sentence shows the yellow Chaos Emerald) My objective of gathering the yellow Chaos Emeralds has brought me to Tokyo, capital of Japan, and one of the head countries of the world's most advanced technology. It's home of a lot of "nerds", that know computer regards better than the palm of their hands(this sentence takes a quick look through the Facility-like building Espio was in). One of these professional mans is Naoto Ohshima-San, who's a very succesful and extremely rich computer expert. He knows technological regards better than almost everyone in the world, but what really made his face well-known is his design of some video-game character(This sentence shows a Shark-man(yes, Ohshima is a Shark here, kind of like Gleeman Vox from Ratchet Deadlocked), typing on lots of computers, and being on various press conferences) Even though he is a very succesful man, he is very modest. He doesn't presume about his fame or money at all, but, deeply inside, he does love his gains.(This sentence shows Ohshima putting his money into a vault) Recently, he acquired something he'd pay all of his money for: The yellow Chaos Emerald. He gave the rights of his the character-design he had created to some company, and in return, the company gave him this precious gem(This sentence shows a man giving a Chaos Emerald to Ohshima). Since he loves, appreciates, and even admires this treasure so much, he doesn't keep it inside his vault. By using technology unknown by very people, he managed to insert the Chaos Emerald into his internet connection, and keeps it safe inside the internet, and under his hands. This means, no one can steal it, and even if they could, they'd have to insert Ohshima's internet connection password to be able to acquire it.(This sentence shows the internet maze Naoto keeps the Emerald in, and finally, the emerald). My mission? Insert myself into the internet, get through any virtual obstacle that gets in my way, acquire Ohshima's internet password, get inside the internet's core, and steal the Chaos Emerald. My reward? The yellow, and second Chaos Emerald(this last sentence shows Espio typing something on Ohshima's computer, and getting inside the Internet).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market. There, Omochao will welcome you.

"Hello, Espio, and welcome to the Black Market. I can see you have the Shuriken equipped, and have the Dagger unequipped. You can acquire new Stealth Items with your rings. Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Items" Omochao says.

List:

Tranquilizer Dart - 100 rings.
Smoke Bomb - 200 rings.
Poisoned Stake - 300 rings.
Ninja Sword - 1000 rings.

If you have collected 100 or more rings during the previous stage(it had 150 rings) you will be able to buy the Tranquilizer Dart. If not, you have to collect more rings on this one, or go to the Stage Select mode to gather more. If you gathered 100 rings, you should buy the Tranquilizer Dart.

"You have selected the Tranquilizer Dart. Do you want to buy this Item?" Omochao says.

Accept, and Omochao will give you this Iten. Espio will grab it, and and put it in his belt. "You have just acquired the Tranquilizer Dart. This Item will allow you to asleep guards, and pass by them unnoticed. You should hurry up, though, because they will wake up after a couple of minutes. That's all!

Since there's nothing else you can buy, quit and move on to the stage...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 8: Virtual Espionage(player: Espio)
Total number of rings: 160

This stage takes place on a internet-like virtual environment, pretty much like Mad Matrix or Digital Circuit from Shadow the Hedgehog.

Even though the stage looks like those stages mentioned above, the structure of the stage is different. Just like Espio's previous stage, it's composed by several rooms, with different security stuff. The first rooms only have three or four guards(virtual guards, everything here is virtual), with tables. To get past them, you have to hide under the tables while they're not seeing you, and while hidden, you have to turn invisible, and then move on.

After that, the rooms will have guards with X-Ray glasses, so they will detect you, even when invisible. To get past them, you'll have to throw a Tranquilizer Dart at them(Yes, you'll have to buy it. If you don't have it, you'll have to replay the previous stage until you gather 100 rings), and then speed through the room as fast as possible. But these rooms aren't as simple as the previous ones. They're much longer, and are covered with platforming-like obstacles, like floating platforms, needles on the floor, pits where you'll have to run through the walls, and lasers. You'll have to get through these as quick as possible so the guards don't wake up.

The third and final group of rooms(note that these rooms are mixed throughout the stage) will have guards without X-Ray visors, and spotlights that scroll throughout the room. To get past these rooms, you'll have to do the following: The spotlights and the guards will "scroll" through the rooms, so sometimes, the spotlights will get over the guards(of course they won't do anything). When this happens, throw a Shuriken to the spotlights so it falls over the guard. When this happens, an alarm will sound, so you'll have to run as fast as possible to the next room.

On the final room, you'll find a sole guard. Knock him out with a Tranquilizer Dart, and dress up as him before moving on. Then, Move on to the next room.

This room is the only one that lasts until you get to the Core. Here, two guards will be walking through the room. At the end of this room, you'll find a door that leads to the Core. But, the problem is, this door will ask you for a password, so you'll have to get it from the guards. This involves your intelligence and skill, and a wrong move may end in detection. Approach any of the guards, and talk to him.

A message will appear on screen, showing three options. You'll need to choose one, and that's what you will tell to the guard. The options are:

Questions:

1 "Could you tell me the password to acces the Core? My memory is tricking me."
2 "I need the password to acces the Core, please. I'm new to this job, and Ohshima-San forgot to tell it to me. Could you be my reminder"
3 "Think of what you want the most. I can give you anything you want, if you tell me the password to access the Core. You know you want to"

You'll have to think very carefully your choice. After you choose one option, the guard will answer. Here are the answers:(answer 1 belongs to question 1, and so on)

1 "Your memory problems are none of my concern" This will result in nothing. If you get this answer, you'll need to try luck with the other guy.
2 "Right, and I work for Sonic Team! You're going down, intruder!" This will result in detection. If you get this answer, you'll lose.
3 "Okay, okay. Let's make a deal. Give me 10 rings, and I'll give you a clue to the password" This is the correct one.Accept the offer(if you don't have 10 rings, search around the room. There are enough around). "Okay, the password is a contradiction. That's all you need to know. Catch you later"

Now that you have this info, you should go talk to the other guard to finally get the password.

1 "Why hello, tell me a contradiction of "password". "
2 "Tell me the damn password to acces the Core or I'll kill you!"
3 "Greetings, friend. Time for a trick game! Total entertainment guaranteed! Okay, here's the trick If you'd wish to say the contrary of "password". What would you say? Clock's running!"

Answers:

1 "No way! I don't even know you, sucker!" This will result in nothing.
2 "I've got a better idea: This place's defenses will kill YOU for being an intruder!" This will result in detection, and you'll die.
3 "Oooh, I so totally love these games! Umm...lemme think, lemme think...umm...Oh oh I got it! It's NON-PASSWORD! Oh yeah! I so totally own teh internets!" This is the correct one.

Once you get this answer, go to the Core's door, and enter "Non-password". This will open the door, with the Goal Ring in the Core.

Espio says "Mission acomplished" and does a Ninja pose as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Espio entered the Core room, but there was nothing there.

"What the...where's the Emerald?" Espio asked to himself. He looked around, but there was nothing there.

"Hmm...I guess my only option is to talk to Ohshima himself. I better get out of this place" Espio said, and teleported himself away from the Internet.

Meanwhile, on the forest...

Shadow kept running through the forest until he came across a gigantic tower. Shadow walked toward it, and he saw the same inscription he had seen before:

Prove yourself as the ultimate existance;
and our fortress will rest your soul.
Prove yourself regular,
and our cellar will be your grave.

Along with it, he also saw the hand-shaped hole on the wall, under the inscription. This time, he didn't hesitate, and he put his hand on the hole.

"Greetings, great warrior. It was about time you arrived this sacred tower...which will soon belong to you" A ghostly voice said, as the doors of the tower opened. Shadow frowned in confuseness.

"Now, allow us to show you the way to your eternal chamber, Sonic...THE HEDGEHOG!" The voice continued, as the doors finished opening.

"Sonic? Great Warrior? Eternal chamber? This is very strange...I better take a look at this place" Shadow said, and entered the tower. The doors closed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hello, Shadow, and welcome to the Black Market. I can see you have the Chaos Spear equipped, and have the Chaos Shield unequipped. You can acquire new Chaos Powers with your rings. Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Powers" Omochao says.

List:

Chaos Earthquake - 200 rings.
Chaos Flight - 300 rings.
Chaos Control - 1000 rings.

If you have collected 200 or more rings on the last two stages(one had 169, less what you spent on the Chaos Shield = 69. The second one had 169 as well, so it is possible to gather 200 rings. If you had, you will be able to buy the Chaos Earthquake. If not, you'll have to collect more rings on this one, or go to the Stage Select mode to gather more. If you gathered 200 rings, you should buy the Chaos Earthquake.

"You have selected the Chaos Earthquake. Do you want to buy this Power?" Omochao says.

Accept, and Omochao will give you a brown energy ball. Shadow will grab it, and his eyes will turn brown and will light up. Shadow shouts, and just after that his eyes turn normal again.

"You have just acquired the Chaos Earthquake. This Power will allow you to shake the ground to deal damage to all the enemies on it. It is a good way to destroy various enemies with only one move! Press the Z Button to scroll between your Chaos Powers. Once you have the Chaos Earthquake activated, press the Y Button to create the Earthquake. That's all!" Omochao says.

Since there's not anything else you can buy, move on to the next stage...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 7: Masthaba Thomb(player: Shadow)

This stage takes place on the inside of the ancient tower. The thing looks like any ancient, dark temple, with grey, old(and thus, kind of broken) walls. Even though this is a dark stage, and an enclosed one, it's still full of speed.

This stage has the speed stuff you're used to see on the previous game's stages, and on Shadow's last two: Loops, corckscrews, straight-forwarded paths with dash panels and rings, rails to the side, and enemies to destroy, running down paths with incoming enemies and shots to avoid, high-speed rails where you'll have to master your balance, and three-railed parts where you'll have to avoid obstacles(some with the camera facing your back, and some with the camera facing your face), running-through-the-wall sections, Triangle Jumps and Triangle Dashes, and more loops!

Even though you didn't at all need the Chaos Shield in the last stage, the Chaos Earthquake will definetly come in handy on this stage. In fact, the straight-forwarded paths may get very difficult without this move, due to the increased waves of enemies compared to the last stage.

After a pretty long Triangle Dash and three loops, you'll reach the Goal Ring on a rounded room.

Shadow says "Hmph!" and crosses his arms as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shadow walked slowly toward the center of the room. As he did so, he looked around the place, very stranged. As he got to the center of the room, the ghostly voice spoke

"Welcome to the Eternal Chamber, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mystical Warrior. We've been waiting long enough for your arrival. Only the real Sonic would get through this Masthaba's very well set tricks. The true speed of sound is required. But enough of this speach...WELCOME, TO YOUR MYSTICAL...THOMB!"

The floor started to shake, as Shadow put his hand on the floor to balance himself. A very bright light lit Shadow, as a gigantic Coffin emerged from the ground just next to Shadow.

"A coffin...?" Shadow said. Just as he finished, a misterious Cloaked Figure emerged from the Coffin. He looked at Shadow deeply.

"Ahh... finally. It's been a long time, Sonic the Hedgehog. I haven't seen you since you were a child. You are changed, though...that black skin, those red spikes, those Air Shoes...I remember you differently. But it's obvious that you did some changes to yourself" The figure said.

"Um... no, actually, I'm not...I'm not Sonic" Shadow said.

"Hahaha, that's funny, Sonic. Only the real Sonic would be capable of getting through our Masthaba. Stop it with the jokes, lord." The figure said.

"This is...not a joke, my friend. I'm not Sonic...I am Shadow...Shadow the Hedgehog" Shadow said.

"W-WHAT?!" The figure exploded in anger "If that's so...THEN YOU CAN KISS YOUR LIFE GOODBYE!" The figure said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boss: Cloaked Figure(player: Shadow)

This boss battle takes place on the rounded place of the chamber.

The figure matches you in speed, and can travel from one place to the other in a second. He may show up behind you and attack you. He just hovers(his feet can't be seen) but he travels even faster than you. His attacks just involve dashing at you, and teleporing behind you and attacking you. This may get difficult to avoid at times.

What's even more difficult is to hit him. Your Chaos Powers will not work against him, so you'll have to hit him with Homing Attacks. If you try to dash against him, he'll move away from you. The key to hit him is the light in the center of the room. You'll have to step into it, to make the figure follow you, and thus, stepping into the light aswell. Once you do this, use your Homing Attack in the instant he is in the light to damage him.

That's about it, you'll have to repeat this process until you deplete his life gauge.

"No pathetic "chamber lords" are stronger than the ultimate life form!" Shadow says, and crosses his arms as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"WHA...This is...not possible! You're not Sonic... and yet you defeated me!?" The figure said

"That's right, I just match his speed. Though I've known Sonic very well, I can say I am a..."deep relative" of him" Shadow said.

"Then how dare you enter our sacred chamber, intruder!!" The figure said, even angrier.

"I...I had no ide-"Shadow said, but the figure interrupted him.

"Look, anyone who dares to enter our chamber will die. But since you know Sonic, we may have a little mercy on you. You see, since our great warrior has been missing for 20 years, we decided to set two guys to look for him. But those worthless idiots seem to be no good at this job...I'll have them terminated soon. Anyway, since you know Sonic, tell me where he is, or say goodbye to this world!" The figure said.

"Actually, the one who recently kiss this world goodbye...is Sonic" Shadow said.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" The figure got even more angered.

"That's right, a very powerful robot killed him long ago, but then his Super Form magically showed up, and I believe he destroyed the robot. We haven't heard about him after that" Shadow said.

"HmmHmmHmm...don't worry, I will take well care of Sonic. If you ever need to find me, go to Horus-Qa's pyramid located in Egypt. Farwell, hedgehog" The figure said, and entered the coffin, and then the coffin dissapeared.

Meanwhile, in Tokio...

The screen was showing a gigantic racing dome completely full of people, and the announcer's voice could be heard.

"Good morning folks! This is TokioV broadcasting live from the first season of the fastest, the ragest, the DEADLIEST racing tournament on the planet... The Tokio Grand Racing Championship! As you know, folks, the only rule for this championship is... RACE LIKE THE BEST, OR DIE LIKE THE REST! Other than that, our contestants may use any type of racing gear... from bycicles, to karts, to boards! This year's season will consist of only one race on this extreme racing track, and the winner takes the major price... a super-cool CHAOS EMERALD! That's right folks, the winner will get this precious gem by the well-known by everyone Naoto Ohshima! If you haven't gotten your nachos and pepsi yet, it's too late! Because the deadly racers are already coming to the track!(The screen shows seven racers coming, all of them have different gears, like karts, racing cars, boards, hover bikes, hover boards, etcetera).
And now that all of the other racers have come out to the stage, the crowd's favorite racing character EVER! Extreme Gear master, and brother of the wind is about to come out. Give it up for... JET.... THE HAWK!"

The crowd applauded and shouted incredibly, as the camera showed Jet coming out with his Type-J under his right arm, and with his left fist raised up.

"The race is about to begin folks!" The announcer said as Jet tied his shoes to his board.

"Three... two... one!" The announcer said, as Jet put on his goggles.

"RAAAAAAAAACE ON!!!" The announcer said, as all the racers started racing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market.

Right now you can't buy any new Board. So just quit and move on to the stage...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 5: Furious Wind(player: Jet)

This stage is a racing stage. You have to beat the other seven racers to wind. But note that not all of Jet's stages are racing. There's only one more racing stage, and the others are like the one seen on the Bonus Stage in the previous game. The other racing stage gets you to race only one player, so it's kind of different from this one, but it's race after all.

The stage takes place on a racing track from a futuristic Tokio. Kind of like Metal City, but more futuristic, and you race inside a stadium or dome, not freely in the city. So you are on the futuristic tracks of the dome, and you can see the crowd cheering on the stadium's tribune. The race consists of three laps, and you have to finish first to win.

As mentioned before, the other racers have different types of gears, to make the thing more challenging. There are karts, that can take you down with just a push, but are slower than you. There are also racing cars, which can be faster than you, but a Turbulence should be enough to get ahead of them. They can knock you out too, so be careful. There are people with hover boards like yours, these match you on speed and power, but they can ride on your Turbulence, so watch out for that. You can also ride on theirs, if you get lucky enough to find one. Finally, there's the hover bike, which is faster than you, so to get ahead of that one, you'll have to do tricks to increase your speed. The restant racers have the same gears as others.

That takes me to the tricks. There are lots of ramps placed throughout the track. The trick system, as mentioned on the Controls, plays like Sonic Riders' one. You have to jump when on a trick(the longer you held the A Button, the higher you'll jump), and there, you'll have to use any combinations with the Control Stick to bust tricks. If you land correctly, you'll bust a trick, and your speed will increase(there is no "Air system" here, so instead of filling air, the tricks bust your speed). The more tricks you perform, the faster you'll go! But be careful with the landing, though. If you land incorrectly, your speed with bust down, so be careful. Since this is the first stage, the speed busts(up and down) don't make much difference, because this is an easy stage for you to practice using Jet, but it will be significant on future stages.

If you finish the third lap while being in the first place, you'll win the race.

Jet says "Alright, the race is mine!", takes off his goggles, and stears his board as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, on the forest...

"We're getting nowhere Fang. This forest is gigantic. We'll never find Sonic here" Rouge said.

"Quit the chattin' m'girl. We'll get somewhere in this strange forest, I can feel it. We found that black hedgie before, so that means we're getting somewhere. Besides, this forest has a strange energy" Fang said.

"Finding Shadow on a random forest is not a signal, you idiot. And this hasn't got any energy you moron" Rouge said.

"Shut your mouth, you know nothin' about these business. I can feel somethin' here. Something... strange" Fang said.

"You know what, my dear weasel? I think you've stayed out in the sun... a little too long. I'm outta here" Rouge said.

"Wait, ya can't leave!" Fang said, holding Rouge's arm.

Suddenly, they heard a noise from the bushes.

"What's that?" Rouge said.

"Well, well, seems like we're fighting a little to much, eh?" Eggman said, showing up, with some EggDrone Troopships behind him.

"Don't worry, Fang. She'll not bother you any longer!" Eggman said, as a flying EggDrone lifted Rouge.

"AAAAHHHH!" Rouge shouted.

"Rouge!!" Fang shouted. The EggDrone got away with Rouge.

"Give me the girl back!" Fang shouted, angered.

"Ahh, don't worry, Fang. You won't be needing her right now" Eggman said, and pressed a button, and a robotic wall surrounding Fang emerged from the grass.

"Now you're trapped in the Death Zone now, Fang! You'll fight my robots, or, most likely, DIE!" Eggman said.

"Die? Ha, not likely" Fang said.

"You see, you are a very succesful bounty hunter, Fang. But... how long will you be able to survive in the zone?" Eggman said, as lots of EggDrones teleported to the zone.

"Damn you!" Fang shouted.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market. There, Omochao will welcome you.

"Hello, Fang, and welcome to the Black Market. I can see you have your Dual Machine-Guns equipped, and your Revolver unequipped. You can acquire new Weapons with your rings. Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Guns." Omochao says.

List:
Missile Launcher - 200 rings.
Sniper Rifle - 350 rings.
Grenade Launcher - 450 rings.
Apocalyptic Flail - 1000 rings.

If you have collected 200 or more rings during the previous stage(it had 269 rings) you will be able to buy the Missile Launcher. If not, you have to collect more rings on this one, or go to the Stage Select mode to gather more. If you gathered 200 rings, you should buy the Missile Launcher.

"You have selected the Missile Launcher. Do you want to buy this Weapon?" Omochao says. Accept, and Omochao will give you this gun. Fang will grab it, and cock it.

"You have just acquired the Missile Launcher. This is a very powerful weapon! You should use it against group of enemies, or against strong ones. Look out for the ammo, though, since it only has 10 ammo. That's all!" Omochao says.

Since there's not anything else you can buy, move on to the next stage...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 6: Death Zone Part I(player: Fang)
Total number of rings: 100

This stage takes place on a rounded part created by the robotic walls. Like Jet's stage, this stage is different from the rest. You don't move form that rounded place, and all you have to do is blow up the incoming waves of enemies. The rings will appear as time passes over the place, so grab them, but you should save some just in case the enemies get too strong.

There will be ten "rounds"(ala Ratchet Deadlocked), so all you have to do is shoot all of the enemies and, basically, survive all of the rounds. Remember the Strafe! It is very important to avoid enemy fire.

There will be weak enemies, mild-strong enemies, and strong enemies. For the first ones, you should use the Machine Guns. For the mild-strong, you should use the Revolver. And for the strong ones, you should use the Missile Launcher. If you haven't acquired it yet, the thing may get a bit difficult. More Revolver shots should do the trick, but the difficulty will raise considerably if you don't have the Missile Launcher.

If you survive all ten rounds, the stage will be over.

Fang says "No worries" and blows the smoke out of his Revolver as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"When will these 'bots provide some actual challenge, Doc?" Fang said, swinging his gun.

"Right now!" Eggman said, as a huge EggDrone with four arms with four guns, wings, and one big eye entered the zone.

"Up for some Cops n' Robbers, big guy? I'm the cops!" Fang said.

"Your pathetic game will be over before you realize!" The EggDrone said.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boss: EggDrone Secundus(player: Fang)

This boss takes place on the same rounded zone the stage did. The robot will fire a continuous laser beam from his eyes, will fire machine guns and seeker missiles from his guns, and will fly, drop at you, and then keep flying.

His armor will be invulnerable to any of your guns, even to the Missile Launcher. So you'll have to find another way to defeat him.

His weak spot are his eyes, but just firing at them will do nothing. You have to wait until the armor of his eyes is down. This happens when he fires the laser beam.

When he does this attack, his eyes will turn brighter, and that means they're vulnerable. Since you have to run to the side to avoid his continue laser beam, so to hit him while avoiding the fire, you'll have to... yes, you got it right, Strafe. Strafe to the side while firing his eyes with any weapon to damage him.

Keep firing when he fires his laser beam(as you deplete his gauge, he'll use this attack less often) until you deplete his life gauge.

Fang says "No worries" and blows the smoke out of his Revolver as the points accumulate and your rank is given.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market. There, Omochao will welcome you.

"Hello, Espio, and welcome to the Black Market. I can see you have the Shuriken equipped, and have nothing unequipped. You can acquire new Steal Itemswith your rings. Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Items" Omochao says.

List:

Tranquilizer Dart - 100 rings.
Smoke Bomb - 200 rings.
Poisoned Stake - 300 rings.
Ninja Sword - 1000 rings.

Right now you can't buy any new Power. So just quit and move on to the stage...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 4: Manoir Ennui(player: Espio)
Total number of rings: 150

The first part of the stage takes place outside the mansion. The mansion's doors are locked, so you have to enter through another way. Run around the mansion, and you'll see some broken water tubes coming out of the wall. Jump on the first of these ones to grab on it, and climb across the others. Jumping from the last of these will take you to a window's ledge. Quickly press R or L to stick to it, and strafe around it, until you see another window above, and jump to it, and so on(luckily, the windows are closed). When you reach the last of these windows, you will see someone opening the window slowly. Quickly, turn invisible, and stay there. It's Riverí himself. He'll walk around this room, and then leave. Once he leaves, jump off the window, and throw a Shuriken(B Button) to the window to open it. Push forward on the Control Stick to go through the window and enter the mansion.

Riverí's mansion consists of several rooms, each of them with four or five guards. To get past of most of the guards, you'll have to turn invisible, so they don't see you. If any of the guards spots you, you'll lose, and restart from the last checkpoint. When you turn invisible, a bar appears on the lower left corner of the screen. This gauge acts pretty much like Shadow's one. When you turn invisible, it will drop, and when it depletes, you'll turn visible again, and will have to wait until it recharges. When this happens, you'll have to run past the guards without them noticing. You can't attack one, because that will result in the others detecting you. To do this, you have to hide behind the stuff around the room, and when the guard isn't looking at your way, run quickly to another object, and then keep going until you reach the door. Don't worry about spot lights, cameras or lasers, because there will be none of these on Riverí's mansion. Just guards.

After some rooms, you'll reach a room with no doors. It seems like a dead end. Suddenly, you will hear a door opening. Quickly, hide under a table in the middle of the room. You will see Riverí entering the room. He's talking with his cell phone.

{In-Game Cutscene}

"I tell you, Ludwig. Having a Chaos Emerald in your own mansion is a plain dumb idea. Someone will come and STEAL it sometime! You have to take it somewhere else!" A voice said through the phone.

"Oh shut up my friend. You are just jealous of my success. Besides, Mon Manoir is super-defended. There isn't a thief out there who can infiltrate it" Riverí said(he has a strong french accent).

"Don't be so sure, Ludwig. There are some awesome infiltrators out there. If Pyramids have been infiltrated, why not some random mansion?"

"Oh oh oh, this isn't a "random mansion". This is Riverí's Manoir no one can infiltrate it... anyway, I have to go now. I have to take something from you-know-where" Riverí said and cut the call.

He lifted a carpet from the floor, and opened a door that was on the floor, that apparently leaded to some kind of cellar. He jumped down, and Espio quickly followed it.

Riverí appeared in a dark place. Espio appeared behind him, and quickly turned invisible. Ludwig turned a light on, and a big sculpture could be seen. It had Riverí's face, and the blue Chaos Emerald was his eye.

"The Chaos Emerald!" Espio murmured to himself.

"Huh? Who's there?" Riverí said, and started to look around.

"Surprise, Ludwig" Espio said, showing up.

"Wha... who are yourself? And where did you appear from?" Riverí asked, surprised.

"I am a chameleon... but will soon be your worst nightmare" Espio said.

"What the Enfer?!" Riverí shouted.

"The word you are looking for is "Hell", my friend. Now, don't be scared. I'm just here to take that... "treasure" of yours with me. Stay back, and no-one will be hurt" Espio said.

"Ahh, I'm afraid there will be someone hurt, my friend" Riverí said. He pressed a button on his knee, and four daggers were fired from behind Espio. Espio turned around, but it was too late. The daggers threw Espio toward the wall, and kept him trapped on the wall.

"Now, now, do not worry about your feet or arms. They can recover from some stupid knife. But your heart, on the other hand..." Riverí said.

The camera faced Riverí's face. He nailed the dagger on the wall where Espio was. The camera faced the wall... and there was no one there.

"Wha... how? You were here just a second ago!" Riverí said.

"It's a simple Ninja trick, slowpoke" Espio's voice said from behind Riverí.

He turned around, and saw Espio, holding a dagger. Riverí looked at his hand, and the dagger he was holding... wasn't there anymore.

"I see you want to see what I'm made of, boy!" Riverí said, and took out two old-looking pistols.

"Au revoir, Chameleon!" Riverí said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boss: Ludwig Riverí(player: Espio)

You fight this boss on the rounded cellar of the mansion. You can use Riverí's dagger in this battle. Press the B Button three times to do a swing-combo. You can't use the Shuriken, since it will now be unequipped.

Riverí will randomly fire rapid-bullets from his pistols, fire seeker daggers, or will call guards to help him. You can avoid the fire and the daggers by quickly running to the side, and can swing your dagger to destroy the guards.

If you try to attack Riverí, he'll block your attack by crossing his dual-pistols. Even if you turn invisible or if you attack him from behing, he'll still be able to block your attacks. So you'll have to find another way.

The key to defeating him is Ludwig's sculpture, which is around the fighting area. If you run toward it, you will notice you can climb it. Climb over to the sculpture's head, and from there, jump toward Riverí. The big jump you just performed should take you directly above Riverí's head. Press the B Button to execute a going-down spinning attack, allowing you will hit Riverí straight in the head with the dagger. This will damage him.

Repeat the process two more times and the battle will be over.

Espio says "You really need to learn to focus" and does a ninja pose as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Riverí was laying in the floor, almost dead.

"You... *cough cough* you little pest. God will curse you for messing with Ludwig *cough cough*... Riverí" Riverí said with a very weak voice.

"I'll get used to it. Now, if I may, I'll take that Chaos Emerald with me. Your dagger will also be useful, so I'll keep it" Espio said, and started climbing the sculpture.

"Wait.. no... please... not the Emerald... it was a gift from the president!" Riverí said.

"I know... but trust me, you won't be needing it anymore" Espio said. He was about to remove the Emerald, but Riverí stopped him.

"Wait... do you just walk inside an unknown person's house and... steal their most precious item?"

"We're even know" Espio said, removed the Chaos Emerald from the sculpture, and quickly jumped down. The sculpture collapsed, and fell over Riverí. Espio jumped toward the screen, and did a ninja pose on the now black background, and said what was written in purple letters under his feet(he also did a Ninja pose as he spoke):

OPERATION "THE SCULPTURE'S EYE" COMPLETE
BLUE CHAOS EMERALD: ACHIEVED
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wednesday, August 16, 2006

Boss: EggDrone Primus(Player: Fang)

You fight this boss on a rounded part of the forest.

The EggDrone fires a machine gun from his arm, fires rockets to the sky that will fall to the floor(you have to move away from the targets on the floor), and will fire seeker missiles.

Since this is the first boss, the strategy to defeat him is very easy. Your Dual Machine-Guns will do almost no damage to the robot's armor, but the Revolver will do a decent ammount of damage to the enemy. You have to keep firing his chest with the Revolver until you deplete his life gauge.

There's not much more to it. The only difficulty this boss battle should present is that you'll have to fire him while at the same time avoid the enemy's shots. To do this, you have to Strafe by pressing the L or the R button. This will allow you to move while facing forward. Use the strafing, and use the Strafe Jump(a jump to the side, by pressing the A Button while strafing) to avoid the attacks while you fire your Revolver.

Just keep firing and avoiding attacks until you deplete the EggDrone's life gauge

Fang says "Useless junk, served up hot!" and blows the smoke out of his Revolver as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, at the entrance of a big tower...

Shadow ran toward the entrance of the big tower that was in front of the forest. When he got to it, he noticed the tower had no entrance door. He looked at the wall closely, and he noticed the wall had an inscription written. He blowed the dust out of it, and he could see it clearly. The inscription said:

Prove yourself as the ultimate existance;
and our fortress will rest your soul.
Prove yourself regular,
and our cellar will be your grave.

And, there was a hand-shaped hole on the wall, under the inscription. Shadow was about to put his hand in the hole, but he stopped himself. He looked up, then down, and then he looked to his right, at the forest. He nodded, and ran to his right, toward the forest.
----------------------------------------------------------
Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market. There, Omochao will welcome you.

"Hello, Shadow, and welcome to the Black Market. I can see you have the Chaos Spear equipped, and have nothing unequipped. You can acquire new Chaos Powers with your rings. Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Powers" Omochao says.

List:

Chaos Shield - 100 rings.
Chaos Earthquake - 200 rings.
Chaos Flight - 300 rings.
Chaos Control - 1000 rings.

If you have collected 100 or more rings during the previous stage(it had 169 rings) you will be able to buy the Chaos Shield. If not, you have to collect more rings on this one, or go to the Stage Select mode to gather more. If you gathered 100 rings, you should buy the Chaos Shield.

"You have selected the Chaos Shield. Do you want to buy this Power?" Omochao says. Accept, and Omochao will give you a purple energy ball. Shadow will grab it, and his eyes will turn purple and will light up. Shadow shouts, and just after that his eyes turn normal again.

"You have just acquired the Chaos Shield. This Power will allow you to create a shield of energy that will protect you from enemy attacks up to a point. Press the Z Button to scroll between your Chaos Powers. Once you have the Chaos Shield activated, hold the Y Button to activate the shield, and release it to deactive the shield. That's all!" Omochao says.

Since there's not anything else you can buy, move on to the next stage...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 3: Jungle Speeds(Player: Shadow)

This stage takes place in the forest, but it looks different from Fang's stage. Fang's stage took place in the middle of the deep forest, with only trees around, while Shadow's stage takes place on a more opened part of the forest, more jungle like, with less trees, and more waterfalls and rivers. As you progress through the stage, though, you'll be getting into deeper parts of the jungle.

This stage has the ussual things a Shadow stage has: Loops, straight-forwarded paths with enemies to the side, running-down paths with enemies shooting or dashing from ahead, corckscrews, high-speed vines resembling rails for you to pratice your balance skills, vines that will make you steer the skies ala Green Forest/White Jungle, trees for you to use your Triangle Dash, springs to bounce-off, and gaps with enemies to use as footsteps with your homing attack.

The straight-forwarded paths and the running down paths have plenty of EggDrones around trying to bring you down. Since the constant shooting may turn out to be a problem, you may want to use your Chaos Powers. The Y Button fires the Power you have activated, and the Z Button scrolls between your available powers. You can use your Chaos Spear to bring down the enemies while you keep running, or, you can use the Chaos Shield, if you have bought it, to protect yourself from the enemy shots. The Chaos Shield will be able to protect you from these shots, but it may not be able to protect stronger shots.

Remember the Chaos Powers will deplete a gauge every time you use them. This gauge represents Shadow's energy. Is this gauge empties, you won't be able to use your Chaos Powers until it fills up again(it fills up as time passes).

After three loops, one corckrscrew, and one big jump, you'll reach the Goal Ring.

Shadow says "Hmph!" and crosses his arms as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, in Paris...

The camera was facing a huge mansion in the middle of downtown Paris. In front of it, there was a big tree. The camera faced the top of the tree, where a purple figure was sitting, with it's eyes closed. The camera zoomed in a little, and showed this figure was none other than the purple chameleon, Espio. The camera did a very quick zoom toward Espio's eye, which oppened, showing Espio's bright, deep, yellow eye. With this, the screen changed to a black background, and this text was being written, in purple letters, and after it finished writing, Espio said what was written on the background, which was:

OPERATION "THE SCULPTURE'S EYE"
OBJECTIVE: BLUE CHAOS EMERALD

With this, the screen showed different pictures, and Espio was the narrator. Espio narrated the following, as different screens appeared:

"This is Espio the Chameleon, excecuting Operation "The Sculpture's Eye".(This sentence shows the Blue Chaos Emerald). My objective of gathering the blue Chaos Emerald has brought me to Paris, capital of France, and home of lots of rich, and succesful professionals.(This sentence shows the huge mansion showed before from different angles). One of these professionals is Monsieur Ludwig Riverí, who's a very succesful and multi-millonaire Artist who has a Glass Eye, due to a fight in his juvenille times.(This sentence showed Mr. Riverí, who's a lizard who wears a Glass Eye and a paintbrush). Riverí's life is based on his success. He loves painting, and is excellent at it, but what he loves more is money and fame. He simply can't live with it.(These sentences shows different of Riverí's paintings, such as lizards, safe zones, money, and jewels) A few months ago, he had a meeting with the president of France himself, where the president bought a couple of Riverí's pictures. As a payment, Ludwig got... the blue Chaos Emerald.(This sentence shows the president handing the Chaos Emerald to Riverí). Ever since, Ludwig considerated this Emerald his most precious achievement, so, he built a sculpture of himself, and, he used the Chaos Emerald to represent his Glass Eye. He now keeps this big sculpture at a very well-protected safe zone that's located somewhere on the inside of his huge mansion.(This sentence shows the sculpture, with the Chaos Emeralds as the Glass Eye). My mission? Infiltrate Riverí's huge mansion, deal with anyone or anything that gets in my way, and steal the Chaos Emerald from the sculpture. My reward? The blue and first Chaos Emerald".(These last sentences show Espio sitting on the top of the tree, thinking.)

After he finished speaking, Espio jumped down the tree, and ran toward the mansion.

NOTE: The changes to the first update were edited in the first update.
Check them out if you wish.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The camera was facing a TV directly, where a man talking from a hillside- like place could be seen

"And now for an XYZ News update! Here we are, the mighty XYZ cameras, transmiting LIVE from this hill-like place, where some strange old ruins have been found. These ruins are an incredible ancient discovery, and our EXCLUSIVE cientists are currently trying to get to the center of these ruins, certain that there will find something worth-watching ON XYZ OF COURSE."

The man kept talknig, as the camera zoomed out, facing Dr. Eggman staring in front of his TV.

"These ruins seem to be a fine discovery... and one I should use for my personal endings" He said to himself. The man kept talking as he was walking toward a big pillar.

"As you fellow XYZ followers can see, this pillar is one of the remnants of this ancient, yet unknown, civilization. We'll be taking this pillar to analyze at our exclusive XYZ lab."

Eggman looked closer to the screen, and he saw a group of five, kind of little, red robots, with two green eyes, two legs, two arms with long claws, and jetpacks.

"What the... this can't be possible!... are these...?" Eggman said, staring at the screen.

The man from the TV kept talking, as the robots got closer to the man.

"This should be useful... I have to contact these robots. I bet they have something to do with my "friends", the EggBots. I'll track down their coordinates and contact them. Hahaha... this will be useful." Eggman grinned, as he stepped away from the TV.

The TV remained turned on. The man kept talking, as one of the robots removed his claws, and instead, he "equipped" a big, long knife. As he did, a long, yellow dash was aproximating from the distance. The camera zoomed in that dash. It was actually Shadow the Hedgehog executing a Spin Dash move. He then got to run, approached the area where the five robots and the camera where, and killed all of them using a Homing Attack.

The camera zoomed in the screen, and with this, the scene switched to the place where the ruins were. There, Shadow was standing, with the destroyed robots' parts surrounding him. Shadow started to look around, and stared at a big tower in front of a huge forest. Shadow frowned, and started to run in that direction.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the stage, you will enter the Black Market. There, Omochao will welcome you.

Right now you can't buy any new Power. So just quit and move on to the stage...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 1: Idyllic Hillside(Player: Shadow)
Total number of Rings: 169

This stage takes place on a hill-like grassy and sunny place, but with ruins such as pillars, platforms, towers, blocks, or even floors, full of old, ruined rock.

Since this is a Shadow stage, it maintains the classic Sonic-speedy gameplay. You have to rush through the grassy hills, or rocky environments as fast as possible to get to the Goal Ring.

The grassy fields are ussually straight-forwarded with a few enemies shooting you from the side(there will not be much of them, since this is the first stage, so it acts as an introductory stage). You can bounce off them with your Homing Attack, or throw a Chaos Spear at them(the only Chaos power you can currently use, which consits of throwing little yellow arrows that can deal damage) to destroy enemies.

The ruined-rocky environment consists of the other usual stuff of a Shadow level. Loops, corckscrews, Triangle Jumps(that are the ones found in Heroes and Shadow), Triangle Dashes(that are the ones found in Sonic-Next Gen, on the watter tunnel of Kingdom Valley), rails(only one-railed pahts for now), springs to bounce off, gaps with enemies to use the Homing Attack on, and big jumps.

There's not much more to it. Since this is the first stage, the ammount of enemies, and the difficulty all of the parts involve is rather easy, for you to practice. After a big jump, you'll reach the Goal Ring in front of a big tower, which is in front of a huge forest.

Shadow says "Hmph!" and crosses his arms as the points accumulate and your rank is given(A, B, C, D, or E).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, on the Eggman's base's Control Room...

Eggman was standing in front of three of those green-eyed red robots.

"So... what is it exactly that you're looking for, again?" Eggman asked.

"We're looking for unit C-58672. One of the infantry units from our home planet, Mobius, whose ship crashed somewhere in this planet" One of the robots said.

"Ah, now I remember" Eggman said.

"So... do you know where it is?" The robot asked.

"I don't know, I must admit. But I can find it easily. As you can admire, with all this technology, I can track down your friend's location in no time" Eggman said.

"Perfect. So, it's a deal?" The robot asked.

"But... what do I get in return?" Eggman asked.

"Whatever you want" The robot said.

"Awesome. Well then, if you help me do my business on this pathetic planet, I'll find your friend" Eggman said.

"That's fine by us. We don't care about this planet, and our powers can destroy it's core easily" The robot said.

"Very well, so then, it's a deal?" Eggman said, and stretched his hand.

"Deal" The robot said, and stretched his hand aswell. They shook hands.

"Who are you, again?" Eggman asked.

"We are units B-36952, B-36953, and B-36954. We are the military units. One grade lower from the final and most powerful units, the Apocalypse Units. But they stayed on our planet. And as you know, there are lots of Military Units on this planet, so they can help you out aswell" The robot said.

"Very well, I'll call you all EggDrones to abreviate" Eggman said, and chuckled.

Meanwhile, back with Shadow...

Shadow was running toward the big tower, when suddenly, something dropped from the top of a tree and grabbed Shadow. It was a purple weasel with a hat and a big Revolver. He aimed his Revolver at Shadow's head, as Shadow was trying to get off.

"Leave me alone, rat!" Shadow said.

"Don't think so. You're comin' with me, mate" The weasel said.

Just as he finished speaking, Rouge dropped from a tree.

"Let him go Fang. He's not our target" Rouge said.

"Oh shut up, bat girl. You know nothin' about these business. This is a hedgehog, just like our target. So keep your mouth shut while I do my thing" Fang said, and cocked his revolver.

"Fang, NO!" Rouge shouted.

Fang stopped. "Now get your hands to yourself, and leave him alone. He's not Sonic. He's Shadow, a "friend" of mine" Rouge said.

"Oh. Sorry about that mate" Fang said. Shadow closed his eyes, and frowned.

"I told ya I was sorry!" Fang said.

"No problem" Shadow said, and got into the forest.

"Bat girl, my weasel sence tells me we might find somethin' worthy inside this forest. Let's move it inside" Fang said.

"You sure it's safe around there?" Rouge said.

"Nope, not sure. But if anything happens, I've got my good ol' twins with me" Fang said, and pulled out his Dual Machine-Guns.

"And, you also have your good ol' twins with ya, in case any foe needs some femenine medicine" Fang said, and chuckled.

"Oh shut up!" Rouge said, blushed.

Here, let me show you the available list of acquirable Guns. There's also a the Marvellous Queen, your hover bike, waiting for you on the following stage, so go and find it!" Omochao says.

List:

Missile Launcher - 200 rings.
Sniper Rifle - 350 rings.
Grenade Launcher - 450 rings.
Apocalyptic Flail - 1000 rings.

Right now you can't buy any new weapon. So just quit and move on to the stage...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 2: Fireworked Woods(player: Fang)
Total number of rings: 269

This stage plays in the deeps of the forest. Rouge will follow you from close behind, but she'll do nothing, so that's just kind of like an extra.

You only have the Dual-Machine guns and the Revolver right now. But don't worry, because, since this is Fang's first stage, it acts like an introductory for Fang's third person shooter gameplay.

You should use your 180 ammo'd Revolver to take out the stronger robots in this stage(which aren't very strong, since it's the first stage), and you should use it with the smaller groups of enemies, since it consumes less ammo than the Machine Guns. The majority of the enemies will randomly drop ammo for any of your weapons. So grab the ammo the defeated robots drop, since this is the only way to get ammo(if all of your weapons run out of ammo, Fang will do a pretty weak tail-whip instead of shoot).

Your 250 ammo'd Dual-Machine Guns should take care of the larger hordes of enemies, due to their rapid fire. Always make sure to take a look at your remaining ammo, because this weapon consumes ammo quickly.

This stage, just like the rest, is linear, and has "rounded" parts with enemies to destroy, and straight-forwarded paths with more enemies to destroy. There are also some platforming parts where you'll have to jump through platforms(woods in the river in this stage), and railed parts(vines resembling rails) where you'll have to jump from rail to rail, while destroying the enemies in your path.

After a section of the stage, you'll reach your Marvellous Queen in front of a river. Get on it, to start a high-speed, actioned part.

Controls for Marvellous Queen:

Control Stick-Steer.
C-Stick-Rotate Camera.
A Button-Jump. Used mainly on ramps.
B Button-Fire machine gun.
X Button-Dismount.
L-R- Bank to the left or to the right.
Y Button-Boost. At least one boost orb is required in order to boost. Boosting depletes a boost orb. Boost orbs are scattered around the river. You can carry a maximum of three boost orbs.
Z Button-Brake.

This part acts pretty much like the part on the Bonus Stage. You have to use the Hover Bike to get through the river. This is a high-speed action section. There will be enemies that you'll need to shoot away, and dash rings scattered throughout the river to make you go faster. Get through as much as possible to gain more speed. On ramps, jump to reach more dash rings and maybe even shortcuts or alternate paths.

After this section, you'll reach the Goal Ring.

Fang says "No worries" and blows the smoke out of his Revolver as the points accumulate and your rank is given.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fang and Rouge kept running as a big red robot with one big green eye appeared in front of them.

"Who is this guy?" Rouge asked.

"Don't like the look of him. Stay back" Fang said.

"Prepare to be obliterated, intruders!" The robot said.

"Let's rumble" Fang said, and wiped out his Revolver.

NOTE: This is a direct sequel to my previous game idea (http://http://boards.ign.com/sonic_the_hedgehog/b5224/120641571/p1/?106) (Sonic the Hedgehog) To be able to understand the majority of the background and further plot this game idea presents, you should read Sonic the Hedgehog.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2: REDEMPTION

Background Story:

A few months have passed after the events of Sonic the Hedgehog, where Super Sonic put an end to the battle with the EggBots by destroying their fusion, the Ultimate EggBot, and never returned from the fight. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy have been waiting for him to return, but he never did. So, within these months, everyone had lost hope of seeing him once again, and, assuming he's dead, they just moved on with their lives. Tails kept building machines on his workshop, Amy kept shopping and doing a city life, and, finally, Knuckles, lost contact with the rest and tried to find a way to recover the Master Emerald's energy, which was depleted.
Everyone moved on with their lives.

Everyone... except Shadow. Shadow was sure Sonic was still alive, because he swears that, numerous times, he has seen a "vision" of Sonic. He hasn't seen Sonic completely, but he claims he has seen a blue ray steering the skies, or a hedgehogy-like blue creature speeding at high speeds through the hills. He couldn't clearly see who or what that was, unfortunately. When he told this to the others, they just said he's gone completely crazy. He even claimed to have seen this "vision" once speeding around the hills, but Tails, who was next to him and looking at the same way, hasn't seen anything.

So, Shadow was tormented by this, when one day, he saw in the TV News that some ruins in the middle of the same hills he saw these visions of Sonic had been discovered. He quickly ran toward these ruins, and found some strange-looking robots. He thought those were EggBots, at first, but when he got to the ruins' heart, he realized that they weren't EggBots, but something much more dangerous...

Meanwhile, a strange-looking cloaked figure has contracted Fang and Rouge to find Sonic the Hedgehog. This man apparently didn't know that Sonic supposed to be dead, and nor did Rouge or Fang. He promised to pay the bounty hunters handsomely, and even gave them half of the payment before they started the mission, and promised to give them the rest once they bring him Sonic. So, without any doubts, the bat and the weasel started their job...

At the same time, Eggman has been creating a warp machine that would be able to take him to Mobius, his home planet again, and see if the EggBots really come from there or not. He was planning on going to Mobius and destroy any EggBots he saw there...

Characters:

Espio the Chameleon(Age: 21)

Opinionated, cold-blooded, ninja-skilled, and self-obsessed purple chameleon at the Chaotix Detective Agency. This time, he's taking a break from the Chaotix's jobs, and is determined to find all seven Chaos Emeralds on his own, at all costs. He's almost certain the seven Emeralds' power will provide him with what he calls the "Ultimate Ninja Power".

His stages involve you infiltrating high-security places to, on the majority, get or steal a Chaos Emerald.

Fang the Sniper(Age: 25)

An Australian, bounty hunter purple weasel that has excellent shooting skills. A strange cloaked figure has contracted him and Rouge to get Sonic the Hedgehog and bring him to the figure. And promised to pay the hunters handsomely if they accomplish the job. Now, he's ready to capture Sonic and receive his payment... even if he has to team up with the bat girl.

His stages involve you getting to the Goal Ring through high-packed action stages filled with shooting and vehicle riding.

Jet the Hawk(Age: 20)

A green hawk member of the Babylon Rogues who has excellent Extreme Gear skills. Since there's not much going on within the Babylon Rogues, he's decided to work on his own for the first time to gather the seven Chaos Emeralds for his personal use. He'll use his beloved Type-J to get all of the Emeralds, no matter what.

His stages involve you getting through air courses, dangerous paths, radical race tracks, or other types of environments by using your Type-J to get to get, steal, or earn a Chaos Emerald.

Shadow the Hedgehog(Age: Unknown)

The ultimate life form created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, a black hedgehog capable of executing mortal Chaos powers. Ever since Sonic's death, he's been seeing strange visions of Sonic, even though he couldn't see them clearly, nor could he speak to them, he was certain that they looked like Sonic. He seems to be the only one that is able to see these visions, but even though, he is determined to get the answers to all of this. And he may be closer to the answer once he finds some strange ruins, and along with them, some dangerous robots.
With this, Shadow's greatest quest about finding the truth about Sonic's death is about to begin. Of course, he'll get some "help" from his strange dreams.

His missions involve you getting to the Goal Ring as fast as possible. Classic Sonic game play.

Sonic the Hedgehog

The world's fastest supersonic hedgehog. Even though this blue blur was supposed to be dead, he still maintains a presence around the world. Well, to Shadow at least. He claims he has seen him, or at least a figure that looked like him. He could never see it clearly, and of course, never spoke to it. Even though this figure didn't show up clearly, and Shadow's the only one that has seen it, Shadow is determined to find the truth about all of this, with help of his strange dreams.

Miles "Tails" Prower(Age: 13)

The two-tailed orange fox boy. After he finds out about these new ruins found at the hills, and more importantly, about the dangerous robots found there, he is determined to use his improved skills on machinery to help out in Shadow's quest. But... he doesn't believe there are actually Sonic "visions" at all.

He isn't playable.

Rouge the Bat(Age: 23)
A treasure hunter who loves jewels. This menacing, mysterious, sexy and smooth bat girl has been contracted by a strange cloaked figure along with Fang to capture Sonic the Hedgehog. The cloaked figure seems strange to her, but since there's a handsome payment involved, she doesn't care. Now she has to team up with Fang to find Sonic. She doesn't trust this weasel much, but she is certain that keeping all the payment for her own won't be very difficult.

She isn't playable.

Dr. Eggman(Age: 61)
The evil genius who possesses an incredible IQ of 300. This time, he's determined to travel to Mobius, his home planet, to find out the truth about the EggBots. But, after discovering these strange but certainly powerful new robots, he's determined to trick them to use their strength to his evil threats.
